The Vagabond brand uses leather, which was created as a by-product of the meat industry, to produce its products. It thus opposes the use of unethical materials such as fur or hides from animals kept only for hides. Other materials used include recycled polyester, natural rubber, nylon or organic cotton.
The brand guarantees that the dyes used in the production are not harmful to the environment or the workers who handle them.
The brand is responsible for ensuring that workers up to level 2 of the supply chain have good working conditions that are controlled. They are therefore provided with a safe working environment and have adequate wages.
The brand knows its suppliers up to level 2 - therefore it does not know the suppliers of raw materials.
The complete production chain has a longer path than 10 000 km.
The brand shows solidarity in various areas, such as health, environmental or climate protection. In 2018, the company committed itself to reducing CO2 emissions from freight transport by 50% by the end of 2030. Furthermore, in cooperation with the Swedish STWI initiative to reduce water and energy consumption in the clothing industry, they use the knowledge gained in both practical production projects in further education.
