In 1983, three comrades Richard Novak, Doug Haut and Jay Shuirman founded the NHS Santa Cruz Skateboards. A legend named after the Boardriding Sports Cradle, California's Santa Cruz City, saw the garage light in the world. A little punk.
One of the first companies of its kind is still the oldest skateboard brand in the world. When designer Jim Phillips made suggestions for Santa Cruz, he painted him by drawing his hand so much that he decided to make this pain, creating the design of the legendary Screaming Hand. Brand is known for its distinctive designs. He began to produce snowboard equipment, but basically remained at the roots of the proven graphics of old oldschool skateboards. Today it focuses on the production of skateboard, cruiser skateboards and longboards. The spirit of the founders remains faithful to the ideas of youth, which is seen on the tenacious support of the scene and the beginning riders.
