Huskee cups are made from coffee husks, of which around 1.35 million tons are produced worldwide all year round. The young Australian Huskee project is transforming increasingly produced biowaste into useful, durable, reusable and recyclable cups.
Australians themselves throw away a a billion cups of coffee a year. These end up in a landfill, where they will decompose for about 50 years due to their plastic layer. Unfortunately, we in Europe are not far behind either, millions of used disposable cups are practically not recyclable. The Huskee brand is a great alternative for saving the environment 2in1 - a reusable product made from raw biomaterial, whose growing production may become problematic in the near future. And that is what we like to see!
